Experiencing your first date can be an exciting yet nerve-wracking experience that only happens once. You don't have to be an expert to learn how to give your date the time of their life with these excellent first date tips: PLAN: These first date tips all come together by planning. Not only is planning ahead a huge plus in your date book, but, without a plan a lot of unexpected things can occur to ruin your date. NO MOVIES:It's been popularized that going to a movie for the first date is a good idea. It really isn't. It can work sometimes if you two truly enjoy the movie playing and can sneak in a few conversations (taboo), although most of the time it's a two hour bout of awkwardness with no communication between the both of you. The solution here is to try to and select or recommend place where you two can talk and get to know each other such as a coffee shop. Watching the newest big screen flick can be left for the next date. Be confident in yourself! BE CONFIDENT: "He who says he can and he who says he can't are both usually right". Listen to Confucius' words of wisdom. Whether you are a man or a women, confidence is attractive and can change the overall mood of the night for the better. Dress accordingly, groom, put some nice scents on as well as your best game face; believe in yourself and don't put yourself down. Remember that you are an amazing human being and your date is going to be perfect, mostly because of you (plus some credit to these first date tips). PAY ATTENTION: Be a good listener or a great conversationalist. Pay attention to your date and do not even think about touching your phone. Believe it or not that is one of the top dating mistakes that men make without even knowing. Contribute to the conversation, but know when to back off and listen. If you have trouble holding a conversation a good tip is to break down what your date has said and ask them to elaborate or tell you more. In addition to paying attention to the conversation you must also pay attention to your dates body language. Look for both positive and negative signs and try to adjust accordingly. KEEP THINGS INTERESTING: What's a first date without some flirting? Flirting is what makes dates fun - try not to be nervous! Compliment your date once in a while. Your first date is the time that you should get to know each other and have a little fun while doing it. These first date tips are great as a simple guideline to a date. I'm sure you will figure out the rest along the way - don't worry, it'll be fun! Just remember to relax, be honest, plan ahead, dress properly, be a good listener, do not text or be on your phone and keep things interesting.
