0 Vol De Nuit

Vol De Nuit
Vol de Nuit makes me think about the impressive women of the WWII era, namely my muggy grandmother. It is her name fragrance for over 50 living, ever on or after my grandfather took her to the Guerlain boutique in Champs Elysees, wherever it was favorite for her by the smell therapist, as it complemented her unbiased and daring personality. The anoint of Vol de Nuit dry down resonance to graciously wait around her and in her home. So a slap well fitted name anoint, it never occurred to me it can be a fragrance, it is like her second skin and complements her attractively.

I equally mix it with the desert-dwelling heroine from The English Persistent, Katherine, and the hopeless experimental in "The Diminutive Prince". Vol de Nuit sends a feeling of brave barrenness and secret stories that may never be told.

Similar to the propeller on the jug settles down stacks for you to loosen the anoint, it shouts of permission. Freedom that leads to stranger adventures, risks and maybe easy anguish. Idyllic galbanum, parsley and bergamot are hint to the Chypre quality of this marvelous fragrance. A a multi faceted olfactory cavort awaits you, and you'll need your force and faith...

The countrified rush fades quite quickly, smoothing itself at a snail's pace into an on all sides of powdery assortment of jonquil and cedar wood, mellowed and warmed by powdery musk and the Guerlainade - orris scrabble, tonka bean and vanilla. That is what makes the narcissus transcription not so enlivening and demoralizing (reassuringly, this fragrance is neither too floral nor overly prosperous, maintaining an daring alteration).

The slick, sooner powdery aspect at a snail's pace evolves into a extend attractive Woody-Chypre appreciative, based on Labdanum and Oakmoss and a first-class Agarwood note that lends a sooner prosperous, sooner sour murmur that is not separate Mitsouko's vetiver and agarwood dastardly, but is richer and sweeter.

Than put forward is the nearby put on of aspect transcription - which is emphatically the design for Funeral song d'Aromes in my opinion, as it smells a minute ago like this lovely, bittersweet autumnal-spring-like perfume: the fresh silvery floral transcription (honeysuckle, gardenia, narcissus) over a woody-light musky-chypre dastardly, floral and persuasively juicy at once, fresh and young and at the fantastically time judicious and grave.

The dry down echoes the quicker impression of the aspect accord: forested and musky, with some amber-vanilla palatability in the establishment of Guerlain (Which sooner reminds me of Shalimar - only that Shalimar is a fragrance seedy to seduce, wherever as in Vol de Nuit the seduction is a lot extend minimal, innocent if you will - the seduction of others is only a side effect of one's confidence and deadly mysteriousness.

So Shalimar, the Vol de Nuit dry down is sooner similar a natural skin anoint (which is my own personal flimsiness...), only extend dry, forested and powdery. Shalimar is ambery what Vol de Nuit is muskier.

Vol de Nuit is rich, technical, miraculous... A fragrance of society and an restrained, blazing approach to life. It requisite be seedy with say and self-worth. In my mind it symbolizes home rule and thing in its highest above-board meaning - earlier ruin all by yourself, what maintaining your fair dealing and identification who you are.

Top notes; Galbanum, Bergamot, Authority

Core notes: Jonquil, Jasmine, Orris Beginning, Cedar wood, Musk

Base notes: Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Oakmoss, Cedar wood, Agarwood, Labdanum, Oakmoss, Vetive

p.s. I couldn't maybe stress stacks how basic it is to find and clothes this in the parfum. It's lengthy but well substance the operate. The Eau de Toilette solely doesn't cut it. And I feel this is true for Shalimar and l'Heure Bleue as well. Mitsouko is the one fragrance from Jacques Guerlain's "Notable Group of four" that I like in any take shape, form or care for.
