I like to plan movie dates with my girlfriends as most of the ones I love to see are "girly movies". As my husband likes to call them.
I've picked the Top Ten Movies I have to go see this year.
1. THE FAULT IN OUR STARS
Hazel and Gus are two teenagers who share an acerbic wit, a disdain for the conventional, and a love that sweeps them on a journey. Their relationship is all the more miraculous given that Hazel's other constant companion is an oxygen tank, Gus jokes about his prosthetic leg, and they met and fell in love at a cancer support group.
2. X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST
The X-Men send Wolverine to the past in a desperate effort to change history and prevent an event that results in doom for both humans and mutants. ( I never miss a chance to see Hugh)
3. GODZILLA
The world's most famous monster is pitted against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.
4. NEIGHBORS
A couple with a newborn baby face unexpected difficulties after they are forced to live next to a fraternity house.
5. MALEFICENT
A vengeful fairy is driven to curse an infant princess, only to discover that the child may be the one person who can restore peace to their troubled land. (loved this one)
6. How to Train Your Dragon 2
When Hiccup and Toothless discover an ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace.
7. EDGE OF TOMORROW
An officer finds himself caught in a time loop in a war with an alien race. His skills increase as he faces the same brutal combat scenarios, and his union with a Special Forces warrior gets him closer and closer to defeating the enemy
8. 22 JUMP STREET
After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt and Jenko when they go deep undercover at a local college.
9. JERSEY BOYS
The story of four young men from the wrong side of the tracks in New Jersey who came together to form the iconic 1960s rock group The Four Seasons.
10. CHEF
A chef who loses his restaurant job starts up a food truck in an effort to reclaim his creative promise, while piecing back together his estranged family.
Do you plan out what movies are a "must see" in the theatre?
